The Mounties women’s hockey team had one win and one loss this past weekend as they continued what has been an overall strong second half of the season. On Saturday Jan. 23, the Mounties suffered a tough loss to the Dalhousie Tigers by a score of 3-2. Shelby Colton and Rosie Heffernan scored, with Kara Anthony and Samantha Bujold adding assists. Keri Martin made 31 saves on 34 shots in the loss. On Sunday, the Mounties bounced back in a big way, getting a huge victory over the top-ranked Saint Mary’s Huskies by a score of 6-3. The Mounties were led by Bujold and Anthony, both scoring two goals. Colton and Heather Richards also scored in the victory, with Martin making 23 saves. After the weekend, the Mounties sit tied for fourth in the ACAA with nine wins and nine losses. They will look to bring the momentum from this huge win when they travel to Halifax to take on the Tigers.
