One perk of living in Ballsackville is the sheer uniqueness of the options that you see on dating apps. Dating app experts may be familiar with the common ways of trying to make yourself look impressive- for example, holding a fish in your photo! People have begun to grow tired of the odd behaviour that they have spotted. So here is a compiled list of things that are equally as attractive as a fish so that you can ask yourself: is that really the impression you want to stick with, or should you start fishing for new ideas?
Smelly, stinky, and gross are all words commonly used to describe fish. What is attractive about that? May I recommend at this point considering holding a dirty boot instead? It is also smelly and gross, but at least it is not a dead animal. Second, a bag of garbage. At least if you are holding a bag of garbage, you can tell yourself they’re helping the environment or maybe taking out the trash, maybe the trash is the men holding fish in photos. Third, are you aiming for that outdoorsy vibe? Well look no further than a random shovel! Are you a gardener or a grave digger? They’re sure to be asking themselves that when swiping right on your profile. Last but certainly not least, literally anything else. That’s right, no one is forcing you to post dating app photos with a fish. Be creative, break the mould.

While we would all rather not see any of these things on our dating apps, at least they are creative. So, next time you feel the need to pose with something for your dating profile, think twice before resorting to a fish. There are plenty of better ideas out there, each better than the stinky, slimy creature that has become the symbol of questionable men on dating apps.
