However, there is a lively bustling miniature market here on the Mt.A campus. Need a new hairdo? Perhaps some fresh braids or a clean cut? Craving some authentic West African dishes? Time to get a new set of nails? Or it may even be your car in need of a makeover. No matter the case, do not look too far! With a whole lot of discipline, risk-taking, and multitasking, Mt.A students have come to your rescue, offering premium services and modest pricing. This article explores the various student-run businesses bringing creativity and hustle to campus.

Braiding has quickly become one of the most in-demand services on campus. For many, braided hair is not just a hairdo, it is an art that requires a lot of precision, discipline, and dedication. From the accurate partitioning of the hair, to the measurement of uniform sections and systematically weaving hair into intricate styles, braiding is a detailed and skilled practice. On its own, this process can be a whole lot of work. Now, imagine balancing a hair braiding business with the university workload. For Beyonce and Yvanna, this is not an imagination anymore, it is their everyday reality. In between the lectures, assignments, and midterms, they transform their rooms into mini hair studios, complete with combs, gel, and colourful extensions. Hours of strength, patience, and skill are invested into these incredible hairstyles you see. It makes every late night, and early morning spent braiding worth it.
