The mystery continues… and so do their streams
For those thinking, “what the fuck is this guy talking about,” I highly encourage you to check out our previous article on this subject (you can find that at since1872.ca under the humour section by the way). But if you are too lazy to go read that, here is a quick recap:
While doomscrolling Instagram reels, I came across an account named “mount_allison_pisser.” The content posted by this account was just a bunch of videos portraying somebody urinating on Mt.A campus buildings. I thought this was really funny, so I wrote an article examining how these accounts have been cropping up throughout the Instagram algorithm, and in this article I offered some questions I had for this Pisser, as their Instagram DMs were closed. The article was published and I moved on, assuming that’d be the most I learn about the urinary phenomenon.
That brings us to the evening of Oct. 18, when the Pisser messaged my personal account on Instagram, offering to respond to my questions. When I saw the message I scrambled to build a response and sent along my questions. Here are their responses:
Q: What specifically made you decide to become the Mt.A pisser? I get that it’s funny but what aspect of it specifically is funny to you?
A: “I saw the OSU Pisser and the Dalhousie Pisser. I showed it to my friend and they told me to become the Mount Allison pisser. I think the whole idea of a person moving through the night with the simple goal of urinating on a prestigious university’s property is funny. More so because of all the people that are waiting for me to post another golden shower.”
Q: Does it come from a place of rebellion at all?
A: “No it does not. I have never been the most rebellious person in the world. The worst thing I’ve done in life is trespass onto my high school football field to enjoy a nice day with my friends.
Q: What drives you as a person?
A: “I hope to make a difference. Whether small or big, enough to make a person’s day a little better. Maybe telling someone something they need to hear to help them get through something. The profession I hope to go into after university is one of the ways I plan on helping people.”
Q: What are your thoughts on the Dalhousie pisser? Do you think he’s the goat at this shit? Are you coming for his legacy?
A: “I do not think he is the goat of this. One of the things I’ve learned while making these videos is that the whole thing is random. The video of me at the R.P. Bell Pickard Library has almost 23,000 views, meanwhile others barely break 5-6 thousand. He may just be getting lucky with the algorithm favouring him, also the fact that Dalhousie is a much bigger school than Mt. A gives them a bigger audience, and more followers means higher chance of getting bigger. I think the true goat of this is the Ohio State Pisser, that dude has love for the game. I could not care less about leaving a legacy or coming after Dal’s legacy, I just want to make the campus a little more alive while this trend is still going and these videos keep coming up on my feed.
Q: What do you think validates your account over the other pisser accounts? Follower count? Views? Vibes?
A: “The only thing that validates my account over the other pisser accounts for Mt A is the fact that I was first. I woke up one day and saw that there was a second account using the original picture I made and photoshopped for the profile picture. That made me upset and even more so when I saw them getting more followers than me. After a bit I surpassed them and eventually the person who ran it was told to stop (may they rest in piss). So, for me, the only 2 things that matter is who was first and who has more followers without following a bunch of random people first.”
Q: Do you think there is a God who will judge you for your actions?
A: “Maybe there is, maybe there isn’t. I know no more about the afterlife than anyone else reading this. However I can tell you this. I have done more than just piss on property, I have helped others, brought other people up, made their days better. So, if there is a God who will judge me, I doubt they would focus on this single part of my life.. Plus let’s be honest, what I do is not that bad. People can do and have done much worse than what I do.
Q: Where do you plan for this to go? Or is/was it a short-term bit that you didn’t really think that far ahead for?
A: “I plan to keep this going for as long as the trend keeps going or I get caught. I thought it would be short-term as these trends do not stay for long, but I think that this campus has enough to keep the account fueled until the trend dies.”
Q: If you could say one thing to all of Mt. A, what would it be?
A: “I am no monster, I have ethics and can guarantee that there will be no memorials soaked unless I was not aware it was a memorial. For example, Purdy-Crawford is off limits because it is a memorial to those who served in WWI (I believe). Also do not take everything so seriously. To every person reading this, specifically the students, progress is progress. If you only move forward an inch, that’s an inch further than you were before. I leave everyone with this. We all get one shot at life, make the most out of it.”
