This past year has been a period of immense success at The Argosy. Thanks to the hard work of our incredibly talented team, we have been able to bring you, our readers, 21 issues of content that was relevant, meaningful, and interesting to your needs both as students and members of the broader community.
Within the pages of The Argosy, we have been honoured to tell your stories. We have highlighted your various artistic events and productions in the music conservatory or drama’s Motyer-Fancy Theatre. We have cheered on your success in athletics, including record-breaking wins for our Mounties men’s rugby and women’s volleyball. We have told the community about your research, your awards and successes, your achievements. We have provided you with detailed information about what is happening in the world around you. We have showcased your art, poetry, creative writing, each piece a testament to what it means to be not just a student or a person in our society, but to be you. We have given you an outlet to voice your opinions and share in the production of a publication that will always be independently and unwaveringly ours.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every single person who makes each issue of The Argosy possible. Thank you to Tim Hicks at Advocate Printing, the Mt. A Bookstore staff, the team at CHMA and every community member that has supported our newspaper. Our staff passionately curates, creates, and delivers content to you week after week. It has been a sincere honour to be able to lead them this year. We are excited to be leaving The Argosy in the capable hands of incoming editors-in-chief Hannah MacFarlane and Jaya Condran, as well as the returning reporters, photographers, illustrators and administrative staff.
Lastly, we would like to extend congratulations to the Class of 2025! Keep hold of all of your copies of The Argosy, they will serve as memories of your time at Mt. A for years to come. Though we are leaving The Argosy and Mt. A, we will carry with us the memories and community that The Argosy has provided.
